Coconut is a common name for the fruit of a tree of the palm family. It is classified as Cocos nucifera. People usually call the tree coconut palm. Coconut trees grow well in tropical countries. They grow especially on sandy soils.
The trees can grow up to 30 m high. They have a single cylindrical trunk. At the top of the trunk, there is a crown of leaves. The leaves are long, about 3 to 4.5 m long.
The fruit is usually grown in clusters. In one cluster there are about 5–20 coconuts. The fruit is oval and about 30 cm long. It has a thick husk and a hard shell. Inside the shell there is white oily flesh. Inside the shell there is also a sweet fluid.
Coconut is high in sugar. It also contains a lot of fat, protein and vitamin. The young coconut water can be very refreshing drink which contains a lot of minerals.
Coconut palms are very useful plants. People can use every single inch of the tree. They dry the coconut meat into copra. After that, they can get oil from it and use it for daily cooking or make it into soaps or candles. People also use the trunks to build houses. For the roof, they dry the leaves. People can also make rope and doormats from the coconut’s husk.
Coconuts are usually propagated by seeds, but experts have been trying to clone coconuts or propagate them by tissue culture.

Clouds may look fluffy and innocent, but they are actually active things. At their most exciting event, they can create the wondrous effect of lightning.
Water and ice move around inside the cloud; forced up by warm air currents, down by gravity, and compressed in the cloud. Just as rubbing a balloon can create static electricity, the particles in the cloud become charged. It’s not clear how it happens, but charges separate in the cloud. The positive charges move up, and the negatives move down.
Once a significant charge separation has built up, the positive and negative charges seek to reach each other and neutralize. ‘Streamers’ come up from the ground to form a pathway. Once a pathway is completed a spark forms, neutralizing the charge.
As the negative charge races down, the air surrounding it heats up. The spark is very hot at almost 20,000 degrees Celsius, and it rapidly heats the air to create a shock wave.
Considering light travels very fast – about 300 million meters per second and that sound only travels at 300 meters per second; light is a million times faster than the sound produced. To find out how far away the storm is, you can count how long you hear the sound after the lightning. For every 4 seconds between the flash and the rumble, the thunderstorm is 1 mile away.

How to Operate An Electronic Rice Cooker
